I love a good themed makeup. Now I’m not saying I go around matching everything all the time but I do think it’s fun for events! My BF and I were heading to a Tigers game and I wanted something just a little fun. The Tigers colors are blue and orange and since orange eyeshadow isn’t really my thing I busted out my blue liner that I so love!
I used three different products to create this bold blue liner.
First up – create what ever base you’d like to for this look. I went for a slightly contoured eye so I just threw a little taupe in my crease. Whatever taupe you have is fine.
Next, grab that blue liner! My favorite is Jane Iredale’s Midnight Blue. For my liner I like to keep it a little thicker on the outer edges and taper it in.
Now it’s time for eyeshadows! I love setting a pencil liner with a powder shadow. It really helps keep it in place all day. I used two shades of eyeshadow to get the color I was going for.
On top of the pencil liner I first placed Jane Iredale’s Blue Hour. It’s not my favorite blue shadow by any means. Fallout like crazy with this one! But it seemed to do the trick. This shade just added a little sparkle and set the liner.
That didn’t end up being quite the color I was going for so, I used one of my favorite blue/purple shadows to add a little more punch to the liner. I used Indigo from the Jane Artist Eyes II palette. I love this color. It’s stunning on it’s own but works well with a variety of liners.
Underneath my eye I used Cappuccino from Alima Pure to give slight definition but also warm up the look. Lastly just mascara, I used the Nvey Eco one that I’ve been really meaning to write a review for.
Hope you enjoyed this little pop of color. I think blues are great at transitioning from summer to fall. Check below for more photos and some swatches.
P.S. My lips are Ilia Beauty- In Paradise
What’s your favorite colored liner??
