So I’ve had a love affair with the Pacifica mascara for a while now and have thought about branching out into their other goodies. I’ve eyed their shadow palettes but never took the dive. At the time I just didn’t feel like I had room in my collection. Thankfully moving allows you to seriously clear some space out. I got rid of a ton of old shadows and when I came across the Pacifica Mystic Palette on sale over the weekend I had to pick it up. This palette does not disappoint. The shadows are a buttery soft texture that have great pigmentation. I honestly bought this for the gorgeous deep blue-violet shade. In the spring I love wearing a blue tinged liner to make my eyes pop. I feel it’s just a bit fresher. Also in this palette is a lovely pink pearl that looks great on the inner corner. I’ve also been really liking the golden beige, it wears beautifully on it’s own. The only one I’m not quite sure how to wear without looking sleep deprived is the grey-blue shade. It’s beautiful, but I’ve got to play around with it a bit more to see how it looks best on me. Keep an eye on my Instagram to see what kind of looks I come up with.
Purchased by me! All opinions are indeed my own.
I love a good themed makeup. Now I’m not saying I go around matching everything all the time but I do think it’s fun for events! My BF and I were heading to a Tigers game and I wanted something just a little fun. The Tigers colors are blue and orange and since orange eyeshadow isn’t really my thing I busted out my blue liner that I so love!
I used three different products to create this bold blue liner.
First up – create what ever base you’d like to for this look. I went for a slightly contoured eye so I just threw a little taupe in my crease. Whatever taupe you have is fine.
Next, grab that blue liner! My favorite is Jane Iredale’s Midnight Blue. For my liner I like to keep it a little thicker on the outer edges and taper it in.
Now it’s time for eyeshadows! I love setting a pencil liner with a powder shadow. It really helps keep it in place all day. I used two shades of eyeshadow to get the color I was going for.
On top of the pencil liner I first placed Jane Iredale’s Blue Hour. It’s not my favorite blue shadow by any means. Fallout like crazy with this one! But it seemed to do the trick. This shade just added a little sparkle and set the liner.
That didn’t end up being quite the color I was going for so, I used one of my favorite blue/purple shadows to add a little more punch to the liner. I used Indigo from the Jane Artist Eyes II palette. I love this color. It’s stunning on it’s own but works well with a variety of liners.
Underneath my eye I used Cappuccino from Alima Pure to give slight definition but also warm up the look. Lastly just mascara, I used the Nvey Eco one that I’ve been really meaning to write a review for.
Hope you enjoyed this little pop of color. I think blues are great at transitioning from summer to fall. Check below for more photos and some swatches.
P.S. My lips are Ilia Beauty- In Paradise
What’s your favorite colored liner??
I recently picked up 3 tinted lip conditioners and 1 lipstick from Ilia Beauty. Now in my defense 3 of them were limited edition. So I kind of needed them. I mean if I didn’t they’d disappear. I know, I know. These are the words of a lady who did not really need anymore lipsticks. But I love these colors enough that I’m thinking I’ll probably pitch a few things that I no longer wear. You know, like that beige gloss in the back of the draw that you keep because it looked good once (and only once).
Anyways, back to the new ones. I picked up Arabian Knights (does anyone else hear this song?), Crimson & Clover, In Paradise and Voila. Check out the video above for my thoughts on these lovely lipsticks.

I’m so loving this brand. Au Naturale is a brand I started stalking after seeing a review over on Pemeberly Jones. The color of the products just looked so pigmented and lovely I knew that I’d need some in my life. After staring at the site for sometime I took the plunge and picked up an eyeliner pencil in Deep Sea and the creme eyeshadow in Bora Bora. The lovely ladies at Au Naturale were sweet enough to include samples of an eyeshadow in Trillium and the Light Veil finishing powder.
Deep Sea Pencil – The pencil itself is super creamy. It glides on beautifully and has really great lasting power. My only disappointment is that the color on the website makes this look like it’s very bright blue and as you’ll see in the swatch below the color is more of a very deep navy.
Bora Bora – This creme shadow is the bomb. Super pigmented with a semi-matte finish. Which is so cool. Most creme shadows are high shine so this is a nice change. I found that it works great on it’s own as well as a base for other shadows.
Trillium – This is a beautiful nude shadow. The thing that impressed me the most aside from color pay off is the texture. The shadow is so buttery and smooth it’s really just great to work with. I would check out other shades for sure.
Light Veil Finishing Powder – Out of everything I think this has become a total staple for me. In the summer I like to set my tinted moisturizers or foundations with a little loose powder. This powder is so silky and smooth that it just feels like it floats on your skin. It gives your skin a semi-matte finish where it takes away the skin but still allows your skin to look natural. I’m pretty sure that it has taken over the HG status of my other powder. It’s that good.
I also have some foundation, blush and bronzer that I’m hoping to do a video review on soon!
What do you love from Au Naturale?
